Burgers in Sonoma

Updated: Apr 9, 2021

Yum! It’s getting warm here and it’s time for those summertime BURGERS! Everyone local has a few favorites. Take a look at our favorite spots to splurge on burgers in Sonoma County. These burgers are AWESOME!

If you are vegetarian you probably won't get far down the list, but don’t worry, each of these places also offer very delicious vegetarian options.

April Pantry, Petaluma · Ok, maybe not all burgers were created equal because this one tops my list. A casual eatery started by chefs, April Pantry has my most favorite burger right now. Maybe it’s proximity and that it can be delivered to me but there’s something sooooo amazing about their Pantry Burger with option to add Millionaire Bacon (which I do) using Five Dot Ranch ground beef and a Red Bird Bakery bun that really hits the spot each time. And when I don’t order it, my husband will.

El Dorado Kitchen, Sonoma · I love the EDK Burger. It's a pretty straightforward burger, but it's one of the best. I always add cheese. You can also substitute for truffle fries too. Stop thinking about the calories.

Layla at MacArthur Place, Sonoma · The 1869 Burger gets you double wagyu patties with aged cheddar and makes a perfectly delicious burger here. Paired with fries if you want to go all out or a side salad to balance out that juicy tender ground beef. Don’t let the fine-dining vibe fool you - this burger is well-portioned and comes on its own board. See below.

The Girl and the Fig, Sonoma · I mean really everything is super delicious here. The Sirloin Burger comes with house made pickles, grilled onions. Add cambozola cheese, an egg, and house bacon for a decadent meal to go with your Bloody Mary. Served with skinny fries. I’ve not ever gone wrong ordering anything at The Girl and The Fig. I don’t think you will either!

Tips Roadside, Kenwood · What started as a food truck but it’s not food truck food. The Grass Fed Cheeseburger is topped with Petaluma Creamery cheese on a Costeaux Bakery bun with their house made tomato jam. Tomato jam, not ketchup. It's amazing. A great spot to stop for lunch on a wine tasting day. Located right by Landmark Vineyards. Parking is right out front.

Seared, Petaluma · My brother-in-law says it’s the best burger he’s ever had. Simply called The Burger, this complete meal is made with Stemple Creek Ranch beef, double the cheese, caramelized onions, and bacon. The burger here is cooked to perfection like Seared steaks and the beefy flavor cannot be beat. It’s a steakhouse. You'll always get the right temperature here. Get it.

Handline, Sebastopol · I always debate whether I want to go with the burger or Al Pastor Tacos at this friendly stop In Sebastopol. Called the Inglewood, this burger has a cheesy sauce and thousand island dressing but fries are extra. If you’re wine tasting out this way, this is a nice stop for a burger, fries and lemon kefir (non dairy!) followed with a soft serve cone to go.
